Stop TB Partnership Cameroon

A competition was launched for the best media production in the national language of their choice on the issue of financing for TB in Cameroon. It says ‘Who hasn't informed their friend yet? their neighbor, acquaintances, brothers, sisters about this? 100.000f CFA to be won by the winner of this competition It is enough to publish an article or produce a report, a document, etc. responding to "the problem of financing at the national level the fight against tuberculosis in Cameroon”. The competition was inaugurated by the National Champion of Stop Celebrity, producer, and host of a comedy show on the international television channel. The winners will be celebrated during World Tuberculosis Day on March 24 on WTBD 2024.

Stop TB Partnership Ghana

The Chairperson of the GC6 Oversight Committee of CCM with the New Board Chair of the Stop TB Partnership Ghana meet CCM in a Close-Out Oversight Meeting. The meeting reviewed the performance of the GC6 as it concludes to give way for GC7. This was also an opportunity to engage the country team concerning unpaid allowances of the Stop TB Partnership Ghana. Also, Stop TB Partnership Ghana represented by the immediate past board chair and the new board chair meet NTP, WHO and other CSO partners to validate the Community Rights and Gender report. The meeting held at Crystal Palm Hotel in Accra with stakeholders in the fight to end TB in Ghana validated various inputs into the CRG Report of Ghana.

 

 

Stop TB Partnership Indonesia

The Head of the Multi-Sector Forum (FMS) for Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination in Makassar City, attended the Workshop on Clinics and Independent Practice Doctors (DPM) Related to TB Program Socialization held in Feb 2024. In her direction, she explained that active involvement and contribution from professional organizations and the government are also needed to optimize efforts to overcome TB cases. In each Puskesmas tuberculosis examination services have been provided for the community.

 

 

Stop TB Partnership Kenya

Community-led monitoring training for mobile communities was conducted in Kisumu County, with participants receiving training on utilizing the One Impact platform. TB champions and Long-distance truck drivers participated in TB training to foster collaboration to end TB took place at Limrock Hotel Machakos in partnership with Stop TB Partnership Kenya, Centre for Health Solutions - Kenya (CHS) NTLDKenya NETWORK OF TB CHAMPION'S-KENYASINAI UNIFIED SINAI UNIFIED (BISC)SINAI UNIFIED (BISC)SINAI UNIFIED (BISC).

 

Stop TB partnership Malawi

On February 16th, 2024. The National TB Control Strategy 2021-2025 recognized prominent levels of stigma and limited multi-sectoral collaboration against people with multi-drug resistance TB, hence, presenting a barrier to effective treatment. In collaboration with the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Elimination Program (NTLEP) and other stakeholders, STB Malawi is conducting a research project in the three regions of Malawi while sampling Karonga, Lilongwe, and Blantyre Districts as random areas of the research. The research outcomes will help inform the development of a national costed action plan to overcome barriers to TB services and other challenges faced by people affected by TB.

 

Stop TB Partnership Mozambique

Took part in the #LoveForAllCareForAll campaign by sharing images that portray the national commitment to preventing and fighting TB. The selected images focused on community follow-up of patients, data recording, and the role of each person in guaranteeing health services for children. On Valentine's Day, STB Mozambique recreated the layout and presented the employees of CCS in Maputo City with 250 employees with cards and sweets to mark this day and shared the message that ‘’we are all together in this campaign’’.

 

Stop TB Partnership Nigeria

Stop TB Partnership Nigeria joined the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme and other relevant stakeholders at the inaugural meeting of the World Tuberculosis Day Planning Committee! Gearing up to scale up every effort to raise awareness about TB.

 

 

 

Stop TB Partnership Pakistan

STB Pakistan, in collaboration with Communicable Disease Control (CDC), Department of Health Sindh, organized one day Provincial Roundtable Consultative Workshop on Public Private Mix (PPM) in mid- February, at Avari Hotel Karachi. The event was chaired by, the Deputy Director General, Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Sindh. The workshop was attended by more than 15 participants from CDC Sindh, Dopasi Foundation, Mercy Corps, Bridge Consultants Foundation, Pakistan Chest Society, Greenstar and private practitioners. STB Pakistan also conducted a workshop among participants to identify the issues, challenges & gaps, and come-up with solutions, recommendations & strategies to develop PPM Advocacy Roadmap for strengthening TB PPM Advocacy in Pakistan for expanding private sector engagement in National TB elimination efforts.

ACHIEVE Philippines

On 19 February, ACHIEVE conducted a training on public speaking with the pool of TB Champions as part of their skills building in preparation for future advocacy activities. Each champion was able to write and deliver a speech ranging from topics like addressing policies related to stigma and discrimination, allocation of funds related to TB at the LGU level, increasing domestic funding for TB, and more.

 

 

Stop TB Partnership Tanzania

On the 14th of February, the Stop TB Partnership platform in Tanzania held a meeting with ACTION Africa Partners to discuss a campaign to be launched on WTBD 2024 to help raise awareness raising and show the great harm caused by TB disease.

 

 

 

Stop TB Partnership Uganda

Uganda Stop TB Partnership COMBAT-TB Project Kicks off the One Impact CLM Approach operationalization. The project formed two CBOs of TB Survivors from the two Divisions of Rubaga and Central. Namely: Motivational TB Survivors Association from Central Division and Rubaga TB Fighters from Rubaga Division. The project is supported by the Challenge Facility for Civil Society Grant. Uganda Stop TB Partnership facilitated the onboarding and adaptation workshop. TB Survivors are being given smartphones and data to start following up of TB Clients and monthly data collection Stop TB Partnership, @ustpnews, www.ustp.org.ug.

 

Stop TB Partnership Ukraine

Held the VIII General Stop TB Partnership Ukraine Forum on February 13, The virtual event brought together representatives of civil society, the public sector and international partners. In the introduction, the Head of the Country Support and Community Impact Group, Stop TB Partnership Secretariat, noted that STOP TB Partnership comprehensively supports Ukraine in overcoming tuberculosis. Stop TB Partnership Zimbabwe

Organized a Country Stakeholders' Workshop to review Community Led Monitoring data for TB services which is being supported by East Central and Southern Africa Health Community - ECSA HC Ministry of Health and Child Care Family AIDS Caring Trust - FACT ZimbabweStop TB Partnership Zimbabwe and the National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe.
