ACSM Good Practices
Advocacy, communication and social mobilization for TB control: collection of country-level good practices. Download document
The purpose of this document is to highlight cases in which advocacy, communication and social mobilization (ACSM) interventions have contributed to a positive outcome of TB control activities. By sharing good practices, other implementing partners will hopefully be able to learn from, replicate and enhance the activities in their own unique setting.
It is also through sharing of good practices that we can expand the evidence-base for strategic ACSM and stimulate innovative thinking to address not only TB control challenges, but also to go even further and start, step-by-step to tackle the social determinants of health in general.
The Stop TB Partnership would like to hear from you!
Please share your experience planning and implementing advocacy, communication and social mobilization activities at national, regional and local levels. There are two ways to submit a good practice. See description of each and method for submission below:
- Photo and text: Submit a photo and accompanying text of no more than 300 words with relevant attachments (such as workshop agenda, newspaper clipping, participant list, presentations, etc) to stoptbacsm@who.int. This could be a summary of an innovative ACSM activity or event, a workshop that was conducted with positive feedback, a personal story that highlights issues that could be addressed through ACSM, or any other topic that you seem relevant to share with ACSM colleagues around the world. Your contribution will be posted online on the News and Events site: http://www.stoptb.org/countries/acsm/action/events.asp
- Detailed template:Fill out the template provided below and send to stoptbacsm@who.int. This Good Practice template is to be filled out by partners who have implemented creative ACSM solutions to support TB control challenges and can demonstrate the effectiveness of the ACSM intervention with data.
