The ACSM Core Group met for a closed meeting on Wednesday, 10 November in Berlin to discuss progress made in 2010 and draft a strategic work plan for the Subgroup for 2011. The Core Group agreed to prioritize guidance for monitoring and evaluating ACSM activities for resource/capacity limited implementers and to continue documentation of ACSM good practices.

Due to financial constraints, the annual Subgroup meeting this year was shortened to a half-day meeting. More than 60 people participated in lively discussion and sharing of experiences and discussed issues ranging from monitoring and evaluation for ACSM to partnering initiatives at country level.

ACSM Subgroup at the Union Conference
- Launch of Advocacy, communication and social mobilization for TB control: collection of country-level good practices: This collection of ACSM good practices will be launched at the Stop TB Symposium on 11 November 2010 at the Berlin Conference Centre. The Stop TB Symposium is open to every one, even if they are not registered for the Union Conference.
- ACSM Symposium "Innovative advocacy, communication and social mobilization to address TB and TB/HIV challenges": This symposium, coordinated by the ACSM Subgroup and ACSM partners will focus on effective ACSM to address the social aspects of TB. The two-hour session will be held on 14 November from 9:00 to 11:15 in Hall 6, Berlin Convention Centre. The Symposium is open to delegates who have registered to the Union Conference.
