National stop TB partnerships meet at The Union Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 13-17 November 2012

15 November 2012 - Symposium 14: "Building national and international partnerships to ensure a sustainable response to TB challenges"

Partnerships help build a sustainable response to TB challenges. TB control requires sustained financing including support to and/or contributions by all stakeholders. Partnerships bring partners together from different sectors to develop and implement shared action plans to tackle TB. After a mapping of resources, partners are able to agree on a common plan with identified roles and responsibilities and move to a joint resource (financial, technical, human) mobilisation strategy. See agenda (pdf).

The presentations are also available at The Union website

14 November 2012 - Informal session for focal points of national stop TB partnerships

Focal points from national stop TB partnerships gathered informally to exchange their experiences and discuss successes and challenges. The post 2015 MDG scenario and resource mobilization for health investment were two of the themes discussed. See agenda (pdf). See meeting notes (pdf).

During the conference, the handbook "Champions against Tuberculosis - A practical guide to collaborative partnerships" was launched.
