Partnerships to Stop TB: Unity of Purpose, Complementarity of Roles

Purpose of the meeting

Bring together the members of the National Partnerships from the WHO South-East Asia and Western Pacific regions that are engaged in forging strong collaborations based on the common purpose to curb the TB epidemic and to prevent or alleviate the suffering of people affected by this disease.

  • Raise awareness of successful multi-sectoral partnerships and collaboration in TB prevention, care and control.
  • Discuss key TB challenges in the two regions and concrete ways of partnership collaboration.
  • Identify country specific priorities, gaps, overlaps and synergies for collaborative activities by the national partnerships that have a significant impact on the epidemic.
  • Develop a draft plan of action for partnership collaboration on priority and fund raising initiatives for each country.
  • Engage in a conversation about how we work together and where we are headed; and
  • Shed light on the tasks that lie ahead and how to improve our delivery, thus strengthening our vibrant community committed to the unity of purpose and complementarity of roles in the fight against TB.
