The National Stop TB Partnership in Iran

Iranian Stop TB Committee: Prof. Mohammad Reza Masjedi, General Manager of Iranian Charity Foundation for TB and Lung Diseases, proposed to the Ministry of Health and other related organizations to found a partnership to identifying existing barriers in the National TB Program. The "Stop TB International Forum” identified the obstacles in NTP in Iran. This committee was formed in May 2005 and its session are held once a month. It includes members from governmental organizations, NGOs and two representatives from the Iranian mass media which work together to find ways to make TB care, control and prevention more efficient and effective.

The Iranian Stop TB Committee held its 34th meeting

The Iranian Stop TB Committee had its 34th meeting on 6 May 2012. The meeting covered important issues, such as the provision of food basket to TB patients, training workshops of prison organizations and the public-private mix. Read the report.
