The National Stop TB Partnership in Korea

Stop TB Partnership Korea: The Korean government (Ministry for Health and Welfare & Korea Center for Disease Control & Prevention) announced "STOP TB 2030 Revision Plan" including establishment of "STOP TB Partnership Korea" in 2008. The Ministry for Health and Welfare made foundation plan for STOP TB Partnership Korea and set up the secretariat (task force team) to promote STOP TB Partnership in Korean National Tuberculosis Association. In 2009, the first meeting of the partnership was held in order to bring together all partners to decide on the roles and responsibilities of each partner. The main activities of the partnership are to expand its role through international cooperation, to operate a STOP TB network and promote cooperation with partners and to support national TB control efforts in the area of public relations and education.

Stop TB Partnership Korea announced its new beginning

The Stop TB Partnership Korea Secretariat announced that the Partnership was launched at the 1st Stop TB Partnership Korea committee plenary meeting held in the National Assembly hall. The Partnership aims at mobilizing public interests and participation by improving awareness and promoting the importance of prevention and eradication of TB. For more information, click here [.pdf].
