News from the partnership:
Sudan uses national radio quiz to raise TB awareness
A competition on knowledge about tuberculosis was launched in August by a national radio station based in the capital Khartoum, which is widely listened to across the country. The quiz was broadcasted for three days and received 912 calls from participants. Three winners were drawn, representing Khartoum as well as the states. Prizes were supplied by both the National TB Program (NTP) and by Saini, a private company working in health supplies. The winners were presented with their prizes at the radio station on 12 September. The event also included a brief discussion by the NTP deputy manager, his ACSM staff and the CEO of Saini about the importance of private sector companies getting involved through activities such as competitions to support TB patients and affected communities.
