| Comments: | WHO/EMRO staff (Mr Khan) and consultant (Mr Haq) visited Jordan from 19 to 24 June 2009 to review and support ACSM component in the R5 grant (started from 1 July 2006 and phase II from 1 August 2008). Mr Khan and Mr Haq held meetings with the national TB programme and different stakeholders and helped them in developing a national strategic plan on ACSM based on the national strategic policy on TB care. There was no such ACSM strategic plan in Jordan prior to their visit. The plan is composed of three sections, namely activities in advocacy, communication and social mobilization. NTP will incorporate the ACSM plan in the phase II activities of R5, and also seek support from national and international partners: Jordan has recently established a national partnership to stop TB.
