| Comments: | WHO/Iraq staff (Dr Huseynova) visited Iraq (Baghdad from 22-28 Feb 2009 and Erbil from 23-31 Mar 2009) to review TB care particularly M/E supported by R6 (started from 1 January 2008). In Baghdad, Dr Huseynova met with national counterparts (national TB programme manager and his staff, and partners) to review TB care activities & M/E supported by R6 Grant. Dr Huseynova also attended CCM meeting of Iraq in this regard: she also conducted a PPM workshop that is also a part of R6 support. In Erbil, she met with the relevant national staff and partners in the three northern governorates (Erbil, Suleimanya & Dahuk) to review TB care & M/E activities of R6 grant. Based on the visit and review, the phase II workplan including M/E component was drafted: phase II is expected to start from September 2009.
