| Comments: | WHO/EMRO staff (Dr Baghdadi) visited Jordan from 23 to 29 May 2009 to review M/E component in TB care supported by R5 grant (started from 1 Jul 2006, phase II from 1 August 2008). Dr Baghdadi particularly focused on the expansion of the innovative electronic nominal registration system (ENRS) in Jordan. ENRS is a case-based registration system including TB register, lab register, suspect register & contact register. ENRS also has a built-in quality verification system. Jordan adopted ENRS partially, but her visit was supportive for the comprehensive introduction of ENRS. By the way, Dr Baghdadi, by using her visit to Jordan, conducted a joint training for other TBTEAM (OGAG) supported countries for ENRS, including Egypt, Iraq and Somalia. ENRS expansion will take place in Jordan with R5 grant.
