| Comments: | WHO/EMRO recruited a consultant (Mr Sugamoto) who visited Pakistan in August 2009 to review laboratory aspects in TB care that are supported by GF R6 grant (started from 1 Dec 07). Mr Sugamoto is a staff of the Research Institute of TB / JATA in Japan. NTP and partners in Pakistan are deeply concerned in the limited development in the laboratory network for TB care, particularly for culture & drug susceptibility testing for MDR-TB care. They requested WHO to provide TA on laboratory aspects. In consultation with RIT/JATA (also TBCAP partner), RIT sent Mr Sugamoto to Pakistan |
