| Terms of Reference: | Special topic seminar held on Management of drug resistant tuberculosis in prison system in Central Asia, 15-17 September 2010, Tashkent, Uzbekistan (with field study tours to Gallaorol, Pskent and Tashkent prisons, colonies and other correctional facilities). Organized by: WHO TB Program in CAR, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. The goal of the workshop were: to acquaint the workshop participants with recent international recommendations on clinical management of DR/XDRTB, improve understanding of programmatic approach in management of DR/XDRTB and develop plans of activities for improvement of DRTB management in prison system in Central Asian countries. Participants: Managers of TB programs and specialists responsible for MDRTB management in civil healthcare and prison systems of Central Asian countries – Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. |
