Comments:Dr Amal Bassili conducted this missin already in Q1 (end of March). Under her supervision, training on M&E for 50 participants, development of ME plan, training on the capture recapture survey in Sanaa and Aden for 120 participants were conducted in cooperation with the NTP. Besides, she assessed the level of implementation regarding teh M&E component of the R4 grant. Based on her findings, advice was given to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation capacities, especially in creating additional syngergies with the existing HMIS (Health management and information system). Furthermore, the training and the recommendations made during the mission allow the NTP and cooparating partners to enhance the quality of monitoring and evaluation, which will be particularly useful in harmonizing R4 and the coming R9 with regards to M&E system and practises.
