| Comments: | The WHO expert, Dr Samiha Baghdadi, conducted this mission from 11-15 July in cooperation with Dr Amal Bassili and other team members within the framework of an in-dept programme review. During the course of her stay she assessed laboratory structures at all levels of the country, spanning from central, to provinical to peripheral. She reviewed and revised the quality assurance framework for lab quality, and further assessed the laboratories for their turn over rate and load of sputum samples. Selected staff in facilities visited were trained in staff motiviation techniques for lab staff. As a result of this mission, the national plan for laboratories operating at different levels has been updated (including performance framework). |
