| Comments: | The objective of this initiative is to investigate the usefulness of using LQAS (Lot Quality Assurance Sampling) approaches for surveillance of drug-resistant TB in an African setting with a low or moderate proportion of TB cases having MDR-TB.
Kenya has been indicated above as a possible setting, but any other African country with similar epidemiology of MDR-TB can be targeted.
The WHO secretariat of the Global Project on Anti-tuberculosis Drug Resistance Surveillance is spearheading this initiative. |
