Master level degree in Educational Sciences; with preferable specialization in development and design of education and training.
Knowledge and field experience in health systems development with regards to management and implementation of training and education, in particular related to TB and MDR-TB control;
? knowledge of global public health control strategies;
? skills in project management for development of training material and guidelines; ability to work effectively with and in an interdisciplinary team;
? interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good relationships with people from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds;
? knowledge of policy and practice of the UN system, donor and NGOs at different levels;
? field experience in working through bilateral and NGO systems;
? experience in working with donors, allocating and administrating funds for training programmes.
At least 7 years experience working internationally in the implementation of training and education within health programmes in developing countries including liaison and cooperation with national institutions, national and international organizations as well as community/patient organizations;
Extensive experience in training and education within the context of management of TB and MDR-TB, especially in developing competency based training material for management of TB in developing countries.
