| Comments: | Dr Rajendra Yadav assisted Cambodia from 8-12 August 2011 to conduct a review of the recording and reporting practices of key program supervisors, provide recommendations in a meeting of the Technical Working Group, and, based on the findings, work with the supervisors to improve their work in this area. "Number of MDR-TB cases enrolled for treatment" was one of two indicators (out of 14 indicators in the performance framework) that did not perform well in Phase 1 of Global Fund Round 7. This was partly due to poor recording and reporting of MDR-TB suspects and the absence of clear algorithms. This TA mission satisfied a condition precedent to disbursement, which required support to strengthen the quality and timeliness of recording and reporting by provincial and operational district supervisors. The reporting and referral is slowly improving following the practical, hands-on guidance being given to supervisors on this topic. |
