| Terms of Reference: | • Present the UNITAID/WHO/GLI/GDF/FIND project -Narrowing the Gap: Expanding and accelerating access to diagnostics for patients at risk
of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB)- (EXPAND-TB project) to NTP, NRL, MoH, MoJ, WHO country representatives and all relevant
stakeholders working in the country;
• Assess the requirements for upgrading and modernizing national TB reference laboratories (one reference centre and one regional
laboratory) as needed to accommodate and/or support TB diagnostic tools potentially procured through this project;
• Assess training needs with respect to training in good laboratory practice, bio-safety, quality assurance and new diagnostic methods;
• Meet with officials - NTP, NRL, MoH, MoJ, WHO country representatives and other relevant partners working in tuberculosis related
interventions in the country;
• Present to the authorities a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that clarifies the roles and responsibilities of each partner in this project;
• Carry out a final debriefing, ideally through a meeting gathering all officials and partners, in order to present main finding, possible options,
future steps and precise calendar;
• Provide a report summarizing all findings at the end of the visit.
