| Title: | Development of generic training material on Childhood TB |

| Terms of Reference: | The development of the training material will be based on the handbook for NTP managers (Implementing the WHO Stop TB Strategy, WHO/HTM/TB/2008.401) and the new guidelines recently published by WHO (Rapid advice: treatment of tuberculosis in children and Guidelines for intensified tuberculosis case-finding and isoniazid preventive therapy for people living with HIV in resource-constrained settings).
A systematic process will be used to develop the course which follows the same procedure as was used to develop the course mentioned in the paragraph above. Therefore the development will build on the previous analysis and design. The steps are summarized below.
1. Review the description of the target population for training and update it as needed.
2. Review the list of tasks to be performed by the target audience
3. List the learning objectives that will enable the participant to perform the expected tasks.
4. Identify how the skills and knowledge needed to meet the learning objectives can be developed into modules.
5. Revise the content of each of the current modules that will be revised to teach the new skills and knowledge. Draft an the outline of any new modules that will be developed, including instructional objectives, exercises and presentations.
6. Draft the complete updated modules (and facilitator manual).
