Comments:Purpose/ Objectives:

The objectives were to train the participants on the revised recording and recording system using hard and electronic tools; Train the participants on data management, and data quality assurance including the general framework and tools for quarterly meetings and supervisory visits; Train the participants on data analysis including the calculation of programme indicators and evaluating the epidemiological situation for TB control; Strengthen the capacity of the participants in the evaluation and interpretation of the results of the analyzed data; Strengthen the capacity of the participants in taking the right public health actions based on their interpretation of the programmatic data.


Brief summary:

54 participants were trained. The details of the workshop and their products are enclosed.

Recommendations and work plan for 2012:

• Calculating the M&E indicators for the various components of the strategy using the using excel templates and presenting them during the quarterly review meetings. [target, Q1, 2012]
• On line data entry on the WEB TBS. this will be carried out in 2 phases:

• 1st phase : data entry for the suspect, laboratory and TB registers [Target, Q2 2012]
During this phase, requested adaptations will be done on the WEB TBS.

• 2nd phase: on line data entry for all registers will take place and the WEB TBS will be placed on the ministry of health server.

• Distribution of the NTP guide to all providers to ensure their adherence to the guidelines and agree on the models of collaboration with NTP.

This TA addressed Global Fund round 6, which has currently a rating of B2
