| Comments: | The nurses present reported training over 18,000 nurses allied health workers and members of the general public since receiving their initial training. Many challenges needed to be overcome mainly with regard to obtaining permission and resources to provide training to others. A number reported starting initiatives such as patient 'schools' to provide support and information to people on treatment for TB. The training methodology was popular among the nurses trained and the health care workers (including doctors) they went on to train. This methodology has been adapted for use re other topics. |
