| Comments: | Dr. Michael Voniatis assisted Fiji from 15th January to 7th February 2011 to provide technical leadership to the process of developing the TB National Strategic Plan (NSP) 2011-15. The activities covered were i) SWOT analysis; ii) meetings and discussions with all persons, stakeholders and institutions (including governmental and non-governmental organizations) engaged in the plan to set an agreed structure and detailed activities; iii) collating the reports and other contributions prepared by each member of the planning team into a single, well structured and logical document; iv) costing the NSP in consultation with the stakeholders; iv) presenting the NSP at a workshop with all the stakeholders involved; and v) providing remote technical assistance to the finalization of the process by reviewing and editing the latest draft of the plan produced by the planning team. The final draft of the NSP was subsequently submitted to the NTP, Ministry of Health Fiji for review and endorsement. |
