| Comments: | The nurses present reported training 2,172 nurses, allied health workers, nursing students, patients and patient family members since receiving their initial training. The main challenges faced by the nurses in their delivery of subsequent training sessions were; lack of administrative support, lack of time/competing priorities, and lack of financial support for program delivery and program materials. Despite these challenges, the Philippine Nurses Association developed a 36 slide powerpoint training tool, and nurses who attended the review session articulated key successes derived from the trainings received and delivered, including increased knowledge, increased sense of commitment to TB programs and renewed strength for continued advocacy. |
