| Comments: | Ms Varvara Ivanchenko, engineer, provided technical support from 4-19 April 2011 to (1) to assess installed new ventilation system at the NCCD, (2) to assess TB infection control in selected provinces, (3) to provide technical support in designing, construction and engineering of ventilation system in selected provinces. Together Mongolia NTP the consultant visited several TB health facilities in the capital city and provinces including two MDR-TB wards and National TB Reference Laboratory at the NCCD, outpatient and TB treatment ward, microscopy laboratory in 6 provinces where MDR-TB wards have been established or planned to be established. During the assessment of selected facilities issues have been identified and recommendations to address them have been provided. The results of the assessment will be for implementation of the GF Round 10 TB proposal starting July 2011. |
