Title:Monitoring visit by GLC of PMDT project
Type:Mission
Terms of Reference:• To assess implementation of the Sri Lanka PMDT and evaluate current achievements;
• To provide inputs in national scale up plan for MDR-TB management
• To assess the situation with drug procurement and supply management.
• To collect data on MDR patients on treatment and specific regimens

Key issues to be evaluated and reviewed:
• Interim treatment outcomes and case-holding of patients currently enrolled;
• Coordination between the project and the community, NTP, partner NGOs and the second-line drug-procurement agency;
• Case finding strategies.
• Treatment strategies, administration and follow-up;
• Management system for second-line TB drugs in terms of quantification method, procurement, importation, storage, distribution and delivery to the patients, and scale up plan for enrolment in the next 1 year period;
• Infection control strategies; and
• Information system and data management.
