| Terms of Reference: | (1) To assist the Director of the National Tuberculosis Programme (NTP) regarding the following core responsibilities: (i) coordination of the central team; (ii) DOTS expansion activities in health centres and communities; (iii) implementation and monitoring of TB control activities;
(2) To assist NTP in developing laboratory for quality assured microscopy and culture/DST;
(3) To assist NTP in developing TB-HIV collaborative activities in collaboration with the National Centre against HIV/AIDS and STIs;
(4) To assist NTP in programmatic management of drug resistant tuberculosis;
(5) To assist NTP in conducting the TB prevalence survey;
(6) To assist the NTP and MOH in collaborating with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), including administrative procedures; and
(7) To assist NTP team during the 7th National TB programme and laboratory Managers’Meeting in the Western Pacific Region in Manila (12-15 Sep. 2011)
(8) To submit a written report at the end of assignment.
