| Title: | Regional Global Fund Round 11 TB proposal for southern African countries |

1. To provide support to the East, Central and Southern Africa- Health Community (ECSA-HC)finalizing a regional tuberculosis proposal to be submitted to the Global Fund in Round 11. The proposal will cover cross-border TB issues for the following countries: Malawi, Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe
2. Advise on practical approaches of responding to the TRP comments. This will involve searching for resource materials on X/MDR-TB like assessments & survey reports, and other interventions that are on-going in participating countries.
3. Refine the draft proposal using relevant documents and through consultation
4. Facilitate discussions and brainstorming sessions on improving the proposal and incorporating inputs into the proposal. This will include facilitating in a regional workshop of stakeholders/experts involved in TB control and prevention work in their respective countries
5. Prepare presentations to the CCMs to ensure buy-in of all stakeholders
6. Guide and participate in writing up the relevant sections of the proposal requiring improvement based on the TRP comments and any other comments from participating member states
7. Gather information on TB activities being carried out by other regional organizations e.g. SADC and EAC so as to direct our proposal towards complementing the on-going work and avoid duplication of activities.
Deliverables:
• 1st re-draft of proposal taking into account information from the VWTs and Global Fund requirements for Round 11 (4 day)
• Draft proposal presented to ECSA RMT (1 days)
• Peer review workshop conducted (3 days)
• 1st draft edited incorporating comments from the peer review workshop and develop a 2nd draft produced including PowerPoint presentations to the CCMs (1 day)
• 2nd draft edited incorporating comments from the CCMs and the mock TRP. This should be the final (3rd) draft to be submitted (2 days)
