| Terms of Reference: | 1. To help the main referral TB laboratories in Viet Nam maintain the capacity of performing high quality culture of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and drug susceptibility testing (DST)
2. Provide technical assistance to improve safe working practices for culture and DST including SOP in DST and culture laboratories of the VTN lab network
3. Validate Line Probe Assay testing (LPA) at NRL based on comments from previous mission recommendations
4. Assist in the development of laboratory protocols and educational materials
5. Provide assistance in the introduction of other rapid diagnostic technologies, especially based around GeneXpert
6. review of proposed laboratory expansion plan of National Reference Laboratory (NRL) in line with international and national biosafety requirements
