| Comments: | Recommendations to NTP
• Strengthen the program management at provincial level in terms of HR and capacity building • Strengthen capacity in M & E as an integral part of NTP in order to increase ownership and accountability • Improve stock and store management at all levels • Implement SOPs for TB drug management at all levels • Training of the staff at BMU level on the use of Paed. Drugs • Ensure that all TB suspects are subjected to smear exam. before the commencement of treatment • Consider the reviewing of Paediatric guidelines according to the WHO recommendations • Strengthen the defaulter tracing mechanism
V. Recommendations to GDF
• Continue procurement of quality assured Anti TB drugs from GDF and consider a long term arrangement with GDF for DP and TA in drug management
• Assist the programme to conduct training with a view to roll out the use of paediatric FDCs
