Title:Programmatic Management of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis Monitoring Visit

Terms of Reference:Terms of Reference:

1. To assess implementation of the program and evaluate current achievements;
2. To provide guidance for further expansion and National scale up plan for MDR-TB management; with particular attention to the scale up community-based delivery of care;
3. To assess the situation with procurement and supply management of second-line drugs including ancillary drugs and other logistics;
4. To analyse data on patients on treatment
5. To provide advise for the management of XDR-TB
6. To provide guidance on MIS.
7. To review and update national guidelines for programmatic management of drug-resistant TB including C-PMDT


Key issues to be evaluated and reviewed:

1. Interim treatment outcomes and case-holding of patients currently enrolled;
2. Coordination between the project and the community, NTP, partner NGOs and the second-line drug-procurement agency;
3. Case finding strategies.
4. Treatment strategies, administration and follow-up;
5. Management system for second-line TB drugs in terms of quantification method (forecasting), procurement, importation, storage, distribution and delivery to the patients, and scale up plan for enrolment in the next 1 year period;
6. Infection control strategies;
7. Information system and data management.

Final Outcome:
1. GLC mission Report
2. Final draft of national guidelines for programmatic management of drug-resistant TB including C-PMDT
