Terms of Reference:Evaluate the performance of the national TB control programme in relation to:

o DOTS implementation: standardized treatment with supervision and patient support, laboratory diagnosis, drug supply and management system, monitoring and evaluation including surveillance
o The epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in the country
o Public Private Mix initiative
o High risk groups: contacts, TB/HIV and others
o MDR-TB management
o TB suspect management
o Advocacy, Communication and Social mobilization
o Community engagement in TB control
o Ongoing research and research priorities

• Identify the main strengths and challenges relevant to the above –mentioned components of the Stop TB strategy and devise recommendations to rectify the situation.

All of the above were evaluated, taking into account the ongoing GF TB grant and its activities scheduled for implementation.
