| Terms of Reference: | Capacity building in monitoring and evaluation and data quality to improve the implementation of the Stop TB strategy. Quality assured programmatic and surveillance data generated.
Objectives:
1. Train the trainers (TOT) on the web-based version (WEB Based TB surveillance) or WEB TBS. The tools cover drug sensitive and drug resistant TB as well as NTP and public and private non-NTP providers. 2. Train the participants on data management, and data quality assurance using the WEB TBS 3. Train the participants on data analysis at national and sub-national levels including the calculation of programme indicators and evaluating the epidemiological situation for TB control. 4. Strengthen the capacity of the participants in the evaluation and interpretation of the results of the analyzed data. 5. Strengthen the capacity of the participants in taking the right public health actions based on their interpretation of the programmatic data.
Expectedly the strengthened capacity stemming from this workshop will lead to improving the performance indicator in the area of M&E of the ongoing GF TB grant, especially with regards to data accuracy. |

| Comments: | Ultimately, training will contribute to improving the indicator of number and percentage of reporting units at all levels of data flow submitting timely reports according to national guidelines.
32 participants from were trained. Every day consisted of a plenary session on the monitoring and evaluation of a specific technical topic including the interpretation of data. This was followed by a demonstration of its related WEB TBS sections, then group work on data entry and results interpretation. Data were exported to excel and participants learned how to analyze data and interpret the results |
