| Terms of Reference: | There are only 4 years left to reach MDGs. The region as a whole is doing well in moving to MDGs however TB case detection is still below the target and several countries did not accelerate MDR implementation as required. Therefore careful strategic planning is critical within the context of reduced funding opportunities mainly with GF. A meeting for TB national strategic training was done end of last year for limited number of countries. This meeting is intended to follow up the progress after the training and address regionally the main challenges mentioned above.
1-Review TB implementation status in the region
2-Follow up the progress in developing national strategic plans
3-Address MDR management expansion, impact measurement and community involvement in TB control specifically in MDR management.
4-Finalization of updating of national strategic and technical support/assistance plans (taking into account also partners workplans and financial contributions).

| Comments: | Gaps in the national strategic plans were identified, and timelines of finalization were developed (target Q1 2013). TA plan for 2013 is under development and will be submitted by 31 December. Updated TA plan for the whole period of the strategic plans will be incorporated in the finalized national strategic plan. Roadmap on country priorities in TB Control and Care according to new WHO guidance were identified in various technical areas including contact management, TB control in complex emergencies. Feedback of NTP on the WHO post-2015 was given through sessions/questionnaire.
