| Terms of Reference: | Term of Reference 1) To coordinate the management of Multiple Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR- TB) and its rapid expansion in Pakistan and to advise the national authorities on how to contain the problem of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis in the country context. 2) To coordinate the technical assistance to the Tuberculosis control programme through TBTEAM mechanism * Summary of Assigned Duties (Describe what the incumbent has to do to achieve main objectives; include main achievements expected) The incumbent will perform the following duties: 1) In the field of Multi-drug resistance to provide technical assistance: • To the National TB control Programme (NTP) and its partners in developing the MDR expansion plan. • To upgrade the designated hospitals for MDR scale up. • To develop MDR Data Management system • To manage Second Line Drugs (SLD) (storage plan, placing SLD order requests to Global Drug Facility (GDF) for new and currently enrolled patients).
2) To conduct supervisory tours to the MDR centers and report to NTP and WHO
3) To Support the training activities to build the technical capacity of the staff in the field of MDR management
4) In the field of Tuberculosis Technical Assistance Mechanism (TBTEAM)/Global Funds(GF)To provide technical assistance to NTP for
• Monitoring amp; evaluation of Global Fund R6 amp; R9 grants to Pakistan via proper coordination with all the provinces • Effective implementation of grants by provision of assistance and coordination of external Technical assistance needed by different provinces • Coordination with CCM and grant partners for GF implementation at different provinces • Assisting NTP/and national provincial coordinators in preparing technical reports and inputs to external missions including LFA, CCM coordinated missions, international partners visits.
