| Terms of Reference: | OBJECTIVES:
- To assess implementation of the program and evaluate current achievements by NTP;
- To provide inputs into the national scale up plan for M/XDR-TB management;
- To assess the situation with drug procurement and supply management;
- To collect and review data on patients on treatment and specific regimens;
- To conduct training on DR-TB management
KEY ISSUES TO BE EVALUATED AND REVIEWED:
- Existing policies and guidelines, including the national guidelines for management of MDR
TB;
- Case finding strategies, including among vulnerable groups
- MDR TB detection system (laboratory capacity, service algorithm, and turn around time);
- Treatment strategies, administration and follow-up;
- Management system for second-line TB drugs (in terms of quantification methods),
procurement, importation, storage, distribution and delivery to the patients, and scale up
plan for enrolment in the next 1 year period;
- Interim treatment outcomes and case-holding of patients currently enrolled;
- Infection control strategies;
- Information system and data management.
