| Terms of Reference: | 1. Review and assess the laboratory set-up with new technology and biosafety and performance for NTP including the programmatic management of drug resistant TB (PMDT)
• Finalize the laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) under review and revision:LED fluorescence microscopy;
• First and second line DST in solid (L-J) and liquid media;
• Culture and M. tuberculosis identification;
• EQA for AFB smear microscopy;
• EQA for culture and DST.
2. Develop the following training documents:
• Training curricula for all SOP’s (Dr. Kim, Dr. Lan);
• On-the-job training (BSL 3 operating practices in a physical BSL 2 or BSL 2+ environment) (Dr. Kim, experienced lab person and NIHE);
• Implementation of EQA for culture, species identification and DST including monitoring tools (Dr. Kim). |
