Title:Initial visit for Expanding Access to New Diagnostics for patients at risk of MDR-TB (EXPAND-TB) in Mozambique

Terms of Reference:• To present the EXPAND-TB project funded by UNITAID and coordinated by FIND, WHO-GLI and GDF to the Minister of Health and/or senior ministry officials, the WHO representative, the Director of the National Control TB Program, the Director of the TB National Reference Laboratory and all relevant NTP Partners
• To assess the capacity of the NRL and one regional reference laboratory to be elected by the NTP to roll out new technologies for diagnosing MDR-TB.
• To evaluate infrastructure requirements and training needs for the introduction of quality assured rapid diagnostic test for TB and to ensure adequate bio-safety measures for maximum protection of laboratory personnel.
• To present a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to the relevant authority clarifying the roles and responsibilities of each project partner.
• To propose a work plan for the next months
• To debrief the Minister of Health, project team and WHO representative.
