| Comments: | 1. Mission to Guatemala: From 10 to 14 September 2012, AMRO/PAHO conducted a mission to Guatemala in order to provide technical assistance in accordance with the requirements of the Global Fund on the proposal "Temporary Financing Mechanism (TFM)", presented by the country.
The main findings were as follows: • PAHO reviewed all the points of clarification requested by the Technical Review Panel of the Global Fund: o The fatality rate for TB / MDR was included as an indicator of impact, in addition to the mortality rate. o All indicators were expressed as proportions. o For the denominator of the indicator "percentage of cases BK + detected", we used the data of estimated cases raised by the WHO, but adjusted because this data is calculated based on the general population and for all forms of TB, but 15% of the country's population are migrants and PNT coverage in the country only goes to 50%. o The budgetary aspects of the percentage of resources for payment of personnel and training activities were clarified , as well as the acquisition and distribution of elements for community and laboratories. • At the request of the Ministry of Health, there was a proposal to technically restructure the NTP.
