| Terms of Reference: | 1.Provide technical support to the STB unit in the region in the periodical update and the implementation of the “Strategic plan for the prevention and control of M/XDR in EMR 2010-2015”.
2.Monitor scale-up progress in the implementation of the plan
3. Promote access to high-quality, affordable second-line anti-TB drugs and other commodities through GDF.
4.Support the Regional TB Programme in the advocacy effort for increasing commitment by countries, donors and technical agencies to achieve universal access to patient-centered DR-TB programmatic management according to WHO guidelines.
5.Provide an opinion to donors/funding agencies on their request on country PMDT scale-up plans and the subsequent TA needs addressing identified gaps, via the gGLC Secretariat;
6.Contribute to the regular updating of the evidence base, WHO policy and guidelines related to DR/M/XDR-TB, through OR and M&E efforts including the rapid implementation of the new diagnostics.
