| Terms of Reference: | Tasks and outputs: 1. To review respective normative documents. 2. To visit relevant facilities at the national level in Bishkek, at secondary and primary level in Jalal-Abad and Batken regions (on MoH advice ) and to assess: • quality collection of information (data about previous treatment if any, results of laboratory investigations and treatment outcomes) for recording and reporting TB cases in the district register on the basis of primary health care documentation (TB-01, 05, 06). • compare number of smear-positive patients registered in the laboratory register (TB-04) with records in the general registers of TB cases (TB-03) or with an electronic database • evaluate reporting of the Xpert tests results into the regular surveillance system • evaluate the infrastructure of the network of TB control facilities for planning and gradual introduction of the electronic register of TB patients. • assess coordination of TB data management at all levels (TB control service, State Sanitary and Epidemiologic Service (SSES), HIV/AIDS, penitentiary system). • evaluate TB control data analysis through improvement of a procedural framework for data interpretation (indicators and their interpretation) and reflecting in the national surveillance system • identify country needs for TA to strengthen capacity on surveillance, including recording and reporting of drug-resistant TB and treatment outcome monitoring
