| Terms of Reference: | ? Each lecturer will post any additional background reading or reference materials relevant to each of
their talks to course DropBox by Friday September 21st.
? Final protocol drafts are due to mentors from participants on October 15th.
o Primary mentors will work closely with the participant they are mentoring in person/via email
to finalize draft protocols by the deadline. Each mentor should meets with the mentee to
draw a program of how the work on the proposal will continue
o Drs. Kirenga and Muwonge will be available for in-person consultation at the NTLP. Drs.Bloss
and Kirenga would be available for the protocols if students need help. Dr.Bloss will
specifically review all protocols before they are submitted to CDC as required. Dr. Kirenga will
be available to assist the students if they need any support during the work.
o Feedback on the protocol from other lecturers/mentors should also be solicited through the
primary mentor.
o Progress and challenges should be shared with Drs. Bloss and Kirenga so they can address
them
o Participants should identify additional outside (secondary) mentors as they finalize their
protocol to ensure they have the necessary support and additional expertise needed.
