Terms of Reference:The WHO Stop TB Strategy advocates for improvement in information capture, reporting, and use at
national and local levels. Currently there is a need to strengthen the capacity for monitoring and
evaluation of TB control in Uganda, where the collection of accurate, timely and useful TB related
information can be improved for patient management, program monitoring and evaluation, evidence
based policies, and other decisions. CDC is supporting the Uganda National TB and Leprosy Program
(NTLP) to build capacity of local and national TB staff to improve data quality by conducting operations
research trainings on collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of data for decision-making.
