| Terms of Reference: | urpose: We travelled to South Africa to:
1. Continue analysis of the drug-resistant TB recording and reporting systems;
2. Complete data collection at drug-resistant TB (DR TB) hospitals and continue data collection at non-DR TB hospitals for our collaborative project “Epidemiology of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DR TB) among Children and Adolescents in KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, and Gauteng, South Africa”;
3. Update our partners (South Africa Medical Research Council- SA MRC, National Department of Health-NDoH, and National Health Laboratory Service-NHLS) and other stakeholders on project progress; and
4. Establish a collaborative research effort with the University of Pretoria non-DR TB hospitals treating children with drug-resistant TB. |
