| Title: | Programme Review of NTP - Nepal CONSULTANT FOR THE PPM COMPONENT |

| Terms of Reference: | Background The delivery of care for TB patients through public sector health services is generally the main focus of NTP activities. However, many patients with symptoms of TB, including very poor patients, seek and receive care from a wide variety of private and public health-care providers outside the network of NTP services.
Objective
At the end of the mission, the reviewers should comment on: • Existing collaboration of public–public and public–private providers; • scope and quality of collaboration; • what needs to be done to improve collaboration among different providers. • how to measure the contribution of the private sector to case detection? • the feasibility of introducing innovative PPM models in Nepal.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONSULTANT
Educational qualifications
- University degree in health-related or social science - Master in Public Health or equivalent title / working experience - Training on TB control and/or deep knowledge of TB control strategies.
Work experience
- At least 10 years of employment in organizations engaged in public health and disease control - At least 7 years of international experience in low-income countries - Previous experience as consultants for NTP or other programme reviews
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and capacity to produce high level formal documents and effective presentations in this language - Capacity to produce results working in a team, under pressure and within a limited time frame.
