| Comments: | The 1st monitoring mission for Sudan disease prevalence survey has recommended that the national reference laboratory (NRL) would need additional technical support by a laboratory expert in such surveys. A technical assistance mission for at least 2 weeks was proposed. Dr Syed Alamdar Hussain, microbiologist from the NRL Pakistan would carry out this mission during the period 1-14 April. Dr Hussain has coordinated the laboratory work for the Pakistan disease prevalence and drug resistance surveys and can support Sudan in these key areas of work. Both surveys are supported by the GFATM and such TA will enhance their implementation. |
