| Comments: | The mission evaluated TB services in 3 governorates including the laboratory network. Non-NTP public and private providers were also evaluated. The mission has also carried out desk review of the copies of the TB registers in 40 TBMUs and their reports during one quarter as well as all quarterly reports received at the central level in 2012. The baseline situation for the certification of the surveillance system has been evaluated during this mission. The main gaps were mainly the under-reporting of TB cases from the private sector and universities. Certain standards for the certification of the surveillance system were partially met or not at all. The recommendations aimed at addressing the identified gaps and a work plan for their implementaion was discussed. |
