| Terms of Reference: | Background: Accurate and appropriate diagnostic testing is an indispensable factor in
improving global health and reaching the Millennium Development Goals. Ensuring quality of
diagnostic laboratory services is essential to achieving the best possible care for patients and
increasing the effectiveness, efficiency and accountability of laboratory services.
Goal: To help TB culture labs to implement proper techniques that can lead toward high quality
diagnosis.
Activities:
1. Provide training modules for TB bacilli culture.
2. Provide training of trainee (TOT) from NRL staff to implement the culture training
module.
3. Assessment of NRL implementing the training.
4. Submit final report.
Expected outcome:
1. Provide NRL and culture labs with training curriculum for TB bacilli culture
2. Provide NTP & NPHL with TOT team to implement training.
Description of the activity:
This activity includes one week for formulation of the culture training module and other week
for TOT training to implement the training module
