[The hotel is about 2 miles from the World Bank (easily accessible by metro or taxi). It is about 3 miles from the Ronald Reagan airport (10 minutes by taxi) and about 20 miles from the Dulles airport (approx. 40 minutes by taxi).]

  • Local Secretariat:
    Logistical arrangements, hotel-arrangements, social events, registration, participants care and local transport are being organized by ATS, the World Bank, and WHO, serving as the local Secretariat. Contact details of the local secretariat in Washington, D.C. are as follows:

  • Interpretation/Translation:
    The working language of the meeting will be English. Interpretation in Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish will be provided.
  • Meals:
    If you require specific diet requirements, contact the local secretariat in Washington, D.C.
  • A rehearsal session will be organized to ensure a smooth-running programme on Sunday 21 October from 14:00 to 17:00 in the Preston Room of the World Bank.
  • Registration for the Stop TB Partners' Forum:
    - Sunday, 21 October from 17:00 hrs onwards at the Omni Shoreham Hotel outside the
    Ambassador Ballroom.
    - Monday, 22 October from 08:00 hrs onwards before Session one starting at 08:45 hrs at the World Bank outside the Preston Room [ground floor].
  • Weather and dress:
    During the Forum and the receptions, business attire is appropriate and cultural dress welcome. October weather in Washington D.C. is mild but changeable. Please bring warm clothing, as daily temperatures can change.
  • Special note security/travel advisory (following the recent events in the US):

    *Foreign carriers are permitted to fly to the US subject to their meeting the FAAs new security requirements at their location of departure. Passengers should call the airline in advance to check flight and arrival times at the airport. Additional time should be allowed for enhanced security measures at check-in (3–4 hours).

    *Most US airports are open with the exception of the Washington Reagan National Airport, which will reopen on Thursday 4 October on unlimited service.
