Brief description of event: *
Representatives from MOH, WHO, USAID, healthcare facilities, and civil society organizations; chief doctors from TB hospitals; and journalists from Tashkent and Uzbekistan’s regions will participate in the event. Presentations made by the participants will cover current challenges in TB control worldwide and accomplishments achieved by Uzbekistan in TB response.
At the event, healthcare providers, lab technicians, outreach workers, and volunteers will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to TB control. Journalists will receive important information about TB control programs implemented jointly by the Republican Center of TB and Pulmonology, WHO, and USAID in Uzbekistan. The event is held as part of the USAID TB Control Program.
